
The Gambia Public Procurement Authority (GPPA) successfully held its Fourth Authorization Ceremony on the 23rd of December, 2025, at the National Assembly Grounds. Thirteen (13) new institutions were authorized, bringing the total number of GPPA-authorized organizations to 57.
The event was graced by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Mr. Baboucarr Jobe, on behalf of the Hon. Minister of Finance. PS Jobe congratulated the newly authorized institutions, stating:
“Together, we can ensure that public procurement continues to serve as a powerful driver of transparency, value for money, and national development.”
The ceremony also featured statements from the Director General of GPPA and the Director of Procurement Policy and Operation, with both highlighting GPPA’s transformation into a strategic, digitalized procurement authority.
Certificates were presented to the newly authorized institutions, marking a key milestone in strengthening procurement governance across the country.
