Dr. J. Solomon Jatta
Procurement Director
Dr. J. Solomon Jatta is an Industrial Scientist and a Systems Thinker. He had decades of experience working for fortune 500 companies in corporate America. Dr. Jatta had worked in banking and finance, government, higher education, and manufacturing, His experience spanned diverse extended supply chains in manufacturing from upstream to downstream taking up management responsibilities in demand planning, logistics, procurement, forecasting, and operations. Dr. Jatta later took up a position in Government working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a program analyst before returning back to the private sector.
Dr, Jatta received his doctorate in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Wichita State University’s Industrial, Manufacturing, and System Engineering school. Prior to receiving his doctorate, he earned a master of science in operations management, a master of science in Logistics and supply chain management, a master of business administration in marketing, a master of business administration in general administration, and a bachelor’s degree in economics. He conducted extensive research on supply chain issues and published his work in some of the most prestigious journals.
Dr. Jatta held several professional certificates. He had been certified in Purchasing Management, and certified as Accredited Purchasing Practitioner by the Institute for Supply Management, certified by the Association for Supply Chain Management in Planning and Inventory Management, certified by the American Society for Quality as a Quality Engineer, certified by the Institute of Business Forecasting and Planning as a certified professional forecaster, certified by the John Costanza Institute of Technology, just to name a few; and he had been a member of the American Society of Transportation and Logistics.
Dr. J. Solomon Jatta is a Fulbright specialist with diverse international experience teaching and working in several countries in Europe, the Americas, and Africa. He enjoys listening to National Public Radio, watching American college basketball and football, and, watching the NFL and NBA.
